| HOW
I SPENT MY SUMMER VACATION
This
summer, thousands and thousands of vacationers have slipped civilization's
grip, seeking the calming green of the deep woods. For absolving
one of stress, there's nothing like soaking up untainted splendor
found in the arms of Mother Nature. However, like all dames, Mother
Nature looks a lot better after a few stiff drinks. On a recent
trek into the wilderness with my Dad, I traded squirrels for pink
elephants with a delicious array of adult beverages.
What
you are going to need is some days off work, a canoe, and a pile
of booze. This is not a hard core, Fort Lauderdale style piss-up,
though. What is prescribed here is a comfortable buzz in a beautiful
setting. Enough preamble, on with the drinks.
| Nothing
gets the day started like cognac. The Sophistocate was
our eye opener, consumed quickly on the heels of some
instant oatmeal. The Hennessy helps work out the kinks
a night in a tent can cause. Don't go too crazy with the
cognac, though - the day's just starting! |

Be
it in a boozy coffee, or just for a caffine buzz at work, I love
to use flavoured instant coffee as coffe whitener. Try it!
 |
| Cafe
Coffee is a potential substitute for The Sophistocate
in the morning, but also makes a delicious, post dinner
beverage. Upon reflection, this probably would have been
a better day starter than The Sophistocate. And what better
desert drink than cognac and coffee? What an embarrassing
mix-up! |
